Shake off the Winter in Costa del Sol

We have a really great value week in Torremolinos on Spain's Costa del Sol.  There is much to commend it for a spring holiday which includes an April average high 19°C.  Flying from London Gatwick on 4 April on half board for 7 nights in the 4 star Las Palomas Hotel from only £285 per person.

If you're not looking for a cultural break, this is the perfect place for shaking off the cares and chills of the past winter.  For a good time week of eating, drinking and dancing the night away, the resort of Torremolinos has the widest of choices and every will be a little less frantic than in the height of the season.  If you want a more authentic taste of Spain, this can easily found in nearby Mijas and in Malaga, within half an hour away by local public transport.

The 4 star Las Palomas Hotel is in the centre of the resort with plenty of excellent facilities including an a la carte restaurant.  Among the sports activities on offer are diving and archery.  A golf course is just 1km away.

If you could like more details, just give us a call on 0800 5 677688 or send an enquiry.

Five Star Fino in Jerez

For those who already know and love Madrid and Barcelona, we suggest a stay in the Andalucian city of Jerez - famed as the sherry capital of the world.  We have a 3 night break departing on 27 March from Stansted and includes an executive room at the 5 Star Prestige Palmera Plaza Hotel from only £179 per person [as featured in this week's The Times].
"Jerez" is the Spanish word for sherry and a tour of the sherry making bodegas of the city is usually top of the list.  The famed dancing horses are put through their paces for visitors a couple of times a week at The Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art and the art of the flamenco dance is similarly protected and promoted within the city.  Beyond these famous sights, Jerez is a delight to explore.  There is evidence of its Moorish origins in the Alcazaba Fortress and it has a charming old town with beautiful palm-lined squares.

The 5 star
Prestige Palmera Plaza Hotel offers an oasis of calm and luxury in the midst of the city, surrounded by large gardens and with plenty of top-flight features.  It even has its own golf course.

Interested?  Just give us a call on 0800 5 677688 or 01582 421117 or send an enquiry and we will get straight back to you.

Santiago de Compostela - Best for History

As featured in this week's Woman's Own magazine, we have a 3 night break on B&B at the luxurious AC Palacio del Carmen in Santiago de Compostela.   The hotel is a converted convent - a reasonably priced five-star with a Turkish bath and sauna and 3 nights will be from £217 per person including flights from Stansted and transfers.

Santiago de Compostela is the Galician capital in north-west Spain and is best known as a holy site for pilgrims who have been visiting the shrine of St James since medieval times.  Pilgrim or not, anyone can appreciate the cathedral's imposing towers and ornate architecture.  Four historic squares surround the cathedral, including the magnificent Plaza del Obradoiro, home to impressive buildings including the Hostal do Reis Catolicos.  The city has a range of museums covering everything from natural history to modern art. Dine at upmarket Casa Marcelo on Rua Hortas or less pricy Casa Rosalia on Rua do Franco.
