Algarve's First Six Star Hotel

Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque - Pool Maintenance

We have been advised that there will be maintenance work in progress at the 5 Star Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

From the 14 November 2011 through to the 2 December 2011 there will be maintenance carried out to the children's pool and the swimming pool next to the Bernegal Restaurant.   During this period the hotel will be providing an alternative children's zone which will include pool facilities.

The use of the other swimming pools at the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque will not be affected.

Bahia del Duque Hotel - Children's Pool Closure

From the 9 May to the 9 June 2011 the 5 Star Bahia del Duque Hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife will be proceeding with the annual maintenance work of the children's swimming pool.
During this time, the other 4 swimming pools in the hotel will be running as normal and an extra children's pool area will be provided. The Bahia del Duque apologise for the inconvenience, but the annual maintenance is a compulsory requirement in accordance with Spanish regulations.

Abama Hotel Appoints New General Manager

The Abama Hotel in Guia de Isora, Tenerife has appointed a new General Manager, Mr Carsten Fritz.

Mr Fritz will take over from Oriol Montal who has moved on to a new opportunity as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka in Japan.  Carsten has been with the Ritz-Carlton company for the last 10 years and most recently as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Resort Sharm el Sheikh.

Vincci La Plantacion - Hotel of the Week

The Vincci La Plantacion Hotel is an exclusive 5 star hotel located in the select and upmarket resort of Costa Adeje on the island of Tenerife.

Abama Golf & Spa Resort Hosting Exhibition

The Abama Golf and Spa Resort - a 5 Star luxury hotel in Guia de Isora, Tenerife - is hosting an exhibition from the 6 August to the 23 September 2010 called "Miradas y Lugares" [Views and Places"] by the Spanish artist Maria Jesus Perez Vilar in their art gallery.

Maria Jesus Perez Vilar is an accomplished artist who masters the combination of art techniques and colours with an influence in literature, poetry.  Each painting is said to tell a story from the artist's own inspiration.

The exhibition is open 7 days a week from 08:00 - 23:00

Abama Golf & Spa Resort - Beach Renovation

The Abama Golf and Spa Resort in Guia de Isora, Tenerife, have advised us that the Local Coastal Authority will be carrying out works at the Abama Beach from today until the 31 July from 09:00-19:00.  Unfortunately the Abama Golf & Spa Resort are unable to stop these works as all beaches are public under Spanish Law but the Abama have apologised for any inconvenience this may cause to guests.

Abama in Tenerife has New Chef

The luxury Abama Golf & Spa Resort in Guia de Isora, Tenerife has welcomed Erlatz Gorostiza to the team of the famous Spanish chef, Martin Berasategui [holder of 3 Michelin stars]

Erlatz has now been with the Abama for a couple of months but in the middle of May held his formal presentation to the press and gastronomes of Tenerife.

Michelin Star Restaurant in Tenerife

The MB Restaurant at the Abama Golf and Spa Resort in Guia de Isora, Tenerife has been awarded its first one Michelin star by the Michelin Guide for Spain and Portugal - a guide on places to eat, scoring the quality of restaurants from one to three stars.
