Vincci la Plantacion Hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, together with the Adeje council, arranged a gastronomic event "Remembered Flavours" at their hotel - the 2nd to be held following the success of last year's event.The idea behind it is to get young chefs together with some senior citizens in order that the chefs can learn about the traditional recipes in order to bring back Canarian cooking traditions. The event centred around a competition whereby the young chefs had to use ingredients from Tenerife and prizes were awarded in various categories with the winners awarded a weekend at the Vincci la Plantacion Hotel - a 5 star luxury exclusive hotel with views over the Atlantic and over to the island of La Gomera, and only 500m from El Duque beach.
