"Jerez" is the Spanish word for sherry and a tour of the sherry making bodegas of the city is usually top of the list. The famed dancing horses are put through their paces for visitors a couple of times a week at The Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art and the art of the flamenco dance is similarly protected and promoted within the city. Beyond these famous sights, Jerez is a delight to explore. There is evidence of its Moorish origins in the Alcazaba Fortress and it has a charming old town with beautiful palm-lined squares.
