Flights to Resume from Scotland on 20 April

It has just been reported that flights are expected to resume from Scotland from tomorrow, 20 April from 7am and England and Wales could follow later in the day.

The National Air Traffic Control Service advise that the volcanic eruption in Iceland had reduced and that the ash being emitted was not currently at altitudes that would affect the UK and that if this was continue we would be look at a continuously improving situation.

The flights would then open to a line between Teeside and Blackpool and then work southwards with the south of England expected to be re-open from around 18:00,

However, it is important that when airport re-open that customers still check the status of their flights with the individual airlines.
