Blue Flag Beaches in Tenerife

The Blue Flag is a badge which is awarded each year by the Foundation for Environmental Education to the marinas and beaches that meet a range of conditions and facilities and requires compliance with water quality standard, safety, general services and standards of environmental managements.

If you are off on your
Tenerife holidays you will find that this year blue flags have been awarded to the beaches of El Medano, Leocadio Machado and La Tejita in Granadilla de Abona, Las Vistas and El Camison in Arona, Troya I-II in Adeje, La Arena in Santiago del Teide, El Socorro Los Realejos, Playa Jardin in Puerto de la Cruz and La Arena in Tacoronte.

Many of these beaches have a wide range of facilities such as showers, bars, restaurants, telephones, suveillance, first aid, toilets, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, rental of sports equipment and access for disabled, parking, camping, nudist area.
