A Spanish Self-Catering Holiday Will Cost Less

Make your Euro go further
According to a report produced by the Post Office, the best places for value for money on a self-catering holiday are resorts in Costa Blanca, Lanzarote, Menorca and Mallorca.

It transpires that the Spanish resorts are far cheaper for tourists to carry out their self-catering shop than resorts in other European resorts in Corfu, Turkey, Crete and Cyprus.    The only other destination to come in the top results was The Algarve in Portugal.

So, if you are on holiday in Spain, where is the best place to carry out your shop to stock up your apartment?   Advice says not to visit the local mini-market, but to try to find a nearby supermarket where you could save around 25%

An additional benefit to families is that the cost of a basket of goods costa around 20% less than a year ago although the exchange rate has only fallen by 5% in comparison.

So it would appear that if you a choosing to go on a self-catering holiday this year, then select a Spanish resort to make your Euro go further.
