You may be doing some research on which resort you would like to stay in on your Tenerife holiday and come across the small resort, or market town, of Guia de Isora.

Located in the western part of Tenerife, between Buenavista del Norte in the north and Playa de las Americas in the south, Guia de Isora is inland. When you visit you will adore the tiny streets, squares and houses. There is also evidence of this town's past in the old ovens dotted around the town in which bread and tiles were made.

You may also see signs of old volcanic eruptions by the lava flows which reached nearby. However, Guia de Isora is surrounded by fertile soil in which tomatoes and potatoes are favourite crops. Visit during the springtime and you will not be able to miss the almond blossoms - a great photographic opportunity on your holiday in Tenerife.

When you have eventually made your way down to the coast, there are several beaches available to you. Here you will find the famous Ritz Carlton Abama Hotel [also known as the Abama Golf and Spa Resort] with its exclusive championship golf course - Abama Golf.

Abama Golf is unique as it is peppered by 22 lakes and over 90,000 palm trees. It faces the sea with wonderful ocean views and even over to the neighbouring island of La Gomera. It is an exceptional 18 hole course created by Dave Thomas and you can either play the entire course of make use of the practice green that has 3 holes, or simply relax for a while in the Club House.

While in Guia de Isora, you will need somewhere to stay. Nothing can be better than spending your holiday in Tenerife at the 5 star Ritz Carlton Abama that can be summed up in three words - luxury, elegance, exclusivity. This hotel is set amidst wonderful gardens featuring lakes and waterfalls and there is a wide range of facilities at the hotel including 9 swimming pools and Tenerife's only Michelin star restaurant.  There's no better time to stay at this hotel as there are FREE child places and we also have an offer whereby you stay for 7 nights but only pay for 6.

Perhaps Guia de Isora is just what you are looking for - peace and quiet, a luxury hotel, and a unique 18 hole golf course .... perfect.
