Spanish Grand Prix 2014

With the Spanish Grand Prix in Catalunya on its way, you may like to travel to Barcelona to see this exciting spectacle as well as stay for a while and relax in a hotel.

Taking place between the 9-11 May 2014, the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmelo is the venue for this annual event.  The timetable for the event is:

Friday - 9 May
Practice 1   10:00-11:30
Practice 2   14:00-15:30

Saturday - 10 May
Practice 3   11:00 - 12:00
Qualifying  14:00

Sunday - 11 May
Race           14:00

The circuit is located in Montmelo which is just 30 minutes north-east of the city of Barcelona, which is the main arrival airport [as well as Gerona].

You can expect a large number of Spanish spectators here who are mainly here to support Fernando Alonso.  However, whether you are supporting Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa or join in with the locals by supporting Alsonso, you are undoubtedly in for an exciting and memorable time.

As for the circuit itself, the circuit length is 4.655 km and the race comprises 66 laps.  You will need to go back to 2008 for the lap record holder who is Kimi Raikkonen who lapped the circuit in 1:21.670

If you would like to spend the 10 and 11 May at the circuit with transfers from/to your hotel [and of course flights from the UK] we have a selection of 3 and 4 star hotels available ranging from just £498 per person on half board for 4 nights.   Contact us for more details, or visit our website for more information.
