Wizz Air Considers Charges for Hand Luggage

It was reported recently in Travel Weekly that Hungarian airline Wizz Air may introduce a charge for cabin luggage which is currently being trialled on the route between Luton and Katowice, Poland.

For passengers carrying hand luggage larger than 42cm x 32cm x 25cm would need to pay 10 euros online for a "large cabin bag allowance".  However, there is the benefit that customers who pay this fee are given priority boarding.

Wizz Air are reported as saying that the trial that had been introduced on the 1 August had received positive feedback from customers and were considering the full roll-out of this new policy.
